1. ATTENDANCE: Officers:
Co-chairman Henry Staehle, Vice Chairman, Treasurer, and Secretary. The
following clubs were represented: Pali Twirlers, Square Wheelers, and
Paradise Shufflers.
2. MINUTES: The Co-Chairman asked
for additions or corrections to the minutes of the September 17, 2006,
meeting. There being none, the minutes were approved as presented.
3. TREASURER’S REPORT: The
Treasurer reported that as of December 31, 2006, the Federation’s net
worth is $16,604.79. The balance on hand as of December 31,2005, was
$14,108.54. The Treasurer’s Report was accepted as presented.
4. COMMITTEE REPORTS:
Registrar’s Report: Henry
reported that as of this date 138 Festival registrations have been
received. 57 have registered for the luau and 64 have registered for
the Wednesday night dance. The total amount collected is $6,151.00.
5. CORRESPONDENCE: None.
6. OLD BUSINESS:
a. Web Page: Henry reported
that he has received a 90-day notice for the renewal of the Federation’s
Domain name. It was agreed that the current name would be retained.
Henry will forward the notice to the Treasurer with a copy to Mike Doane
. Mike reported that the Web Page has been updated with the Pali
Twirlers and Pohai Nani Promenaders information, as requested. After
discussion, it was moved, seconded and unanimously agreed to allot
approximately $200 for the purchase of the necessary software in order
to maintain the Federation’s Web page.
b. Coming Events: Barbara
reported that the Maisch’s would be arriving next Sunday and were
planning to conduct a round dance workshop that evening at 5:00 p.m., as
well as Wednesday and Thursday at 6:00 and Friday at 6:30 p.m. The
Grand March will begin on Saturday at 6:45 p.m. A copy of the program
has been furnished to all callers and cuers.
7. NEW BUSINEESS
a. Festival Volunteers: Federation
members will be asked to volunteer for the following Festival duties
(1) Hall sitters
(2) Registration Table
(3) Decorations: Anne Todd is in
charge of Wednesday decorations; Jan Granich is in charge of Festival
decorations scheduled for
Thursday
afternoon from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.
(4) Callers’ Table: Paradise
Shufflers will be responsible for the callers’ hospitality table.
Barbara offered to bring a coffee maker
and coffee.

(7) Grand March signs: Terry

(8) Backdrop: Terry Crenshaw
(9) Sound Equipment:
Equipment will be rented from Jerry Quam.
(10) Club banners: Clubs will
be reminded to bring their banners.
(11) Monday registration at
hotel: Henry and Jan will cover registration table. Hotel should be
alerted.
(12) Cups and napkins: Brenda
will purchase cups and napkins at Costco. (Markers also needed).
(13) Leis: Barbara will
purchase Leis for callers and cuers.
(14) Bus schedule for luau:
Roger Compton will arrange the bus schedule. (33 people have
reservations for the bus).
Mike asked that the dance
schedule be posted on the web so that people can refer to it.
8. CLUB REPORTS AND ACTIVITIES
a. Square
Wheelers: Nothing to report.
b. Pali Twirlers:
Nothing to report.
c. Paradise
Shufflers: The Paradise Shufflers currently have approximately 24 class
members dancing every Saturday night from 6:30 to 7:30 at the Manana
Community Park. At Mike’s request the Paradise Shufflers kids were
invited to the Festival to observe and participate in their own squares
at no fee.
9. NEXT MEETING: The next meeting
is the Annual Meeting to be held on Saturday, January 27, 2007, at 5:30
p.m. at the Ala Wai Ballroom.
