The
meeting was convened at 6:00 pm on Sunday, July 31, 2005, at the Ala Wai
Palladium Ballroom.
1. Attendance:
Federation Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer and Festival Registrar and USA
West Chairman. The following clubs were represented: Square Wheelers, Pali
Twirlers, and Hayseeds.
2. Minutes:
The Chairman asked for additions or corrections to the minutes of the
February 17, 2005 meeting. The minutes were approved.
3. Treasurer’s
Report: The treasurer reported a balance of $8,546.94 as of July 31,
2005. The treasurer’s report was approved.
4. Committee
Reports:
State
Festival (Jan 24-29, 2006) – Henry Staehle reported that the callers and
cuers have will be Daniel Preedy, Bob Van West (callers) and Bill & Linda
Maisch and Bob and Linda Berka (cuers). .
USA
West 2006 – Tim Voss reported that 237 dancers are already registered
for the convention. The program will be finalized in January, 2006. The
event will be held at the Ilikai Renaissance Hotel.
5. Correspondence:
An ad for the 42nd Aloha Festival was approved for publication
in the2006 National Square Dance Directory.

7. New Business:
The Federation will host the annual Beach Party on August 13 at Bellows
AFS. The lunch will be potluck and dancers are asked to donate $2 per
person for drinks and paper goods.
Round Dance workshops
will be held on the following Saturdays from 1 to 4 pm at the Ala Wai
Palladium: October 8, November 19 and December 3. Dances will review Phase
II and III.
8. Club Reports:
Square Wheelers
– The club enrolled another 14 dancers (Blue Team) for the next 10 weeks at
Manana Park. The Gold Class graduates on September 10th. There
will be no club dance on Sunday, August 14.
